Hey, this store seems to be everyone's favorite around here, so I had to check for myself. They have a kind of cult following and I have found , with all the different wines and beers to choose from, I can see why.The storefront is deceiving as it looks small from the road, but they have the best overall mix of inexpensive and luxery wines in one place that I've seen around here .I'm into it, and never get bored . It's amazing that all the wine I've had has been great! See for yourself.

THE BLACK SHEEP WINE STORE has the absolute best selection of fascinating wine I have seen in Maine.The owners have tasted all the wines they have stocked - over 600!!! I have never been disappointed , in fact the opposite, I have discovered many delicious wines I never tried before- what fun!! .Very helpful, unpretentious and enjoyable. A treat! I received a beautiful gift basket loaded with chocolates, cheese, delectable goodies and wine which was my introduction to The Black Sheep in Harpswell, Maine , so I can tell you they offer that as well. I love to recommend this local wine store for these reasons: the owners have a friendly,unpretentious attitude,know about and enjoy wine; they carry an amazing, interesting variety; their tastes are broad and they guarantee the quality of all their wines.I have given Black Sheep Wine gift certificates to friends and family with confidence-the prices are fair and they'll even notify you if your favorite wine goes on sale.I also think they have the best discounts around including their wine club.The building is modest outside and charming inside.You can buy cheese and crackers or imported beer as well as other imported foods and chocolate.Their selection is of good quality and unusual . My last purchase was one each from their wine tasting of Italian wines,my favorite being the salice salentino reserva...just right for a hearty winter red.If you want to recycle wine corks they do it there.They are on the coast of Maine in Harpswell, which is just down RT.123 from Brunswick.
