General Info
Open most days: 10 am - 6 pm. Susan Horowitz & Gail Kass make each piece of pottery by hand using traditional techniques. Visit their studio and showroom full of mugs, chowder bowls, lamps, serving pieces, bathroom sets, ikebanas, vases, tide clocks, judaica and much more. Earthtones, shades of blue and green glazes predominate the pottery's color scheme. You'll find some tenmouku (black) glazes, as well.Enjoy the lovely gardens - take in the scenic views of Casco Bay. We're in South Harpswell, down a narrow peninsula jutting out into the Atlantic. We're 12.5 miles south of Bowdoin College, in Brunswick, Maine. Take Route 123, turn right onto Ash Cove Rd (AFTER Ash Point Rd) and right again at the shore. Follow the narrow lane to Ash Cove Pottery. We'd love to show you what we've been up to.Members of the Maine Potters Market, Harpswell Business Assoc., Maine Crafts Association and the Harpswell Arts & Craft Guild.FYI: there are great B&B's, country inns, cottages and seafood restaurants in the area. The scenery is fantastic and the unspoiled natural beauty of the area is outstanding. Harpswell has more coastline than any town in America.Call ahead to be sure we're in. Thanks!
