I was fortunate to have had the pleasure of working with one of the owners, Derick Valentine. As a woman, I often find it more difficult to find someone loyal and trusting in the contracting industry. I found Derick to be extremely knowledgeable, honest, and reliable. He went over and above to ensure my needs were aligned with my budget. It would have been easy to sell me a new A/C unit, but they did not take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Because of this I have referred them to friends, family, and co-workers who have also been extremely satisfied with the work they have done. As an educator myself, learning that both owners are HVAC instructors at a local community college helped reassure me about their background and knowledge. Reliance Home Comfort was contracted by our home warranty company to diagnose, repair or replace our busted water heater. Our water heater was completely toast, so it needed replacing. Under our home warranty, we had to order a water heater that would then be shipped to a warehouse nearby. Reliance Home Comfort stayed contacted the home warranty company, and the shipping company to expedite our water heater. When it came in 2 days later, Derick was there to remove the old water heater, replace outdated piping, and install the new water heater. I had a few hours to get to know him and his business, and I was very impressed. Former military, now teaches HVAC classes at a nearby college, and he's a Class A contractor. He gave me tons of home renovation advice while he installed the water heater. I will be using him indefinitely for all of the work outside of our home warranty. Great job guys. Chris B. Norfolk, VA
