Close friend was having trouble hearing and was unsure what to do. Knowing very little about this subject, I helped her look up a doctor in the area. She went to the Ear Nose Throat specialist and they were not helpful. Her regular doctor suggested a hearing test, since the problem with her hearing loss had been ongoing and worsening over the past few years. I did a little more research and found the Ledford Audiology and Hearing Aid Center location in Newport News. It is affiliated with Beltone. There was a sweet young lady that answered the phone and set up a free evaluation. Office staff was great, and Mr. Ledford was able to help her discover the source of her hearing loss. She was then fitted for a set of devices and has been hearing clearly ever since. Seriously, though; if someone you love needs help, be sure and find someone with experience fitting aids. You can tell when they know what they are doing. I know Mrs. Williamson has never felt better!
