My dealings with pool depot have been totally awful from the day he took my deposit until the present time alittle over two years later when he refuses to adress the cracks that have developed on the coping of my pool, i have spoken to John on the phone and he promised me he would send someone out to fix the cracks, he never sent out anyone, my pool has a twenty five year warranty yet every time i try to get John to come look at it he lies about coming out ,he lies about the products being on order and now he refuses to answer my phone calls or texts. I have since contacted the manufacturer who informed me that the cracks will get worse if water gets in them and freezes but still no word from the pool depot
After John took my deposit of half down he told he would be installing my pool in two weeks , it actually took two months ,he said his machine was broke down, it was out of state, he was out of town and so on and so on, After he finally showed up they practically destroyed my side yard with their equipment and never fixed it, they never came back to fully finish the backfilling of my pool i had to do it by hand, the plumbing leaked and flooded my yard
i could go on and on.

I originally filed a complaint about this business back in August 2016 about the treatment we received after our family put a down payment and signed a contract with Pool Depot in June 2016. I wish I could put up original complaint but space is limited. So in August after original complaint I was contacted by John Jr. He came to my house apologized for the actions of John Sr. and that he will make it all right, he will put a rush on the pool and our family will have a pool in a couple weeks and begged me to retract my original complaint.( I did) That was August it is now mid way through October and NO POOL! I am hearing all the same excuses as before( the weather is holding me up, my equipment is in another state, my equipment is broke down,etc,etc,etc) with a new on "I could't call because of phone recall." I've heard for the past 3 weeks "I'll be there on Friday" On our meeting in August I was told that the price of our pool was a mistake($14,000) but John Jr would honor it but we got it at a "contractor price" and he is losing money on the deal. I believe he is using passive aggressive harassment to have me void the contract return my deposit and walk away from his responsibility of his so called losing deal. I'm telling you stay away from this company!
