I had insurance with this company for over 11 years and before that my mom had insurance with them for over 20 years. Over the years I have submitted payment to this company via check, online, and through their drop box at the office after hours. They have always gotten my payment. However, in February I canceled my insurance with them via drop box in writing. 2 months later I attempted to cash in my policy only to be told by the agent that my policy had lapsed due to non payment. How convenient, they said that they didn't get my cancellation notice even though they got payments that way from me for 11 years. My agent even had the nerve to tell me that I was behind in payments for months. I was actually a payment ahead. They didn't know it but the corporate office had already written me in January because I was thinking about cancelling and getting other insurance. The letter even stated that the policy was paid up to date and even stated the amount I would get if I cashed in my policy. I could not get anything out of the local Hammond Office-agent or front desk, so I decided not to deal with them anymore. I called the Corporate office in St. Louis, MO who said this policy is still good for X amount of years, can't remember exact, and that I can still cash this policy in. Now, how would the local office not know this? Maybe because stupid morons are running it! Needless to say, I got my check anyway. It's not like I'm going to live off that little check for more than a day anyway! I'm never ever dealing with this company again!!! I would give it 0 stars if I could!

This insurance company can't keep good agents. Since I've been with this company I've had so many agents that I lost count. Now the one I have now don't pick up the money when she say she would. Its getting annoying.
