Lori Notaro wants nothing more than for the men in her life to be comfortable. So that's why she's pouring thousands of dollars into an expansion of the Men's Room, her Hamburg barbershop which, now finished, will feature 1,997 square feet of pampering space and enough televisions to fill a small Best Buy truck. "There are day spas all over Western New York," Notaro said. "But there's nothing like that around here for men. Now that the renovation is complete, it is an Acropolis of haircuts. Sports memorabilia covers the walls. Notaro has chosen black granite for the counters and cherry and mahogany for the wood finishing at the five barber stations, 17-inch flat screen TVs are built into the mirrors. Sandel, 38, has been cutting hair at the same Southwestern Blvd. barbershop for 19 years. The expansion has been a vision of hers long before she bought the building in 2005.
