We had lunch at Bravo's last week. The food was good, what little there was of it. 2 lemonades "barbque chicken & chorzo taco the chorzo was smaller than a small hot dog & was CUT IN HALF to go onto the 2 taco shells. the bbq chicken you really had to hunt for the chicken. It was spread on a flour tortilla the "sauce" was circled around I doubt if there was 2 tb. this was $10.95 the chorzo taco served with maybe half cup of rice & half cup of white beans was $12.95 so for this very small lunch it was $31. I put Bravo's Southwest Bistro on my NEVER AGAIN LIST

very disappointing.... bar too crowded; bartender rude; servers appeared harried; worse margaritas I have ever had anywhere; way too loud (couldnt even talk with dinner guests); food cold and very mediocre; portions small; had to ask for tortilla chips while we waited over and hour; no reservations; no call-ahead seating. Margaritas is way better and they are a corporate chain!

My husband and I have eaten in many Mexican and Southwestern restaurants around the country, so we were anxious to try the new one close to home. What a nice surprise! The menu is small but very creative! We had bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo accompanied by raspberry chipotle sauce for appetizers. Not too spicy and DELICIOUS! For entrees my husband had pork tenderloins with a different and very good barbeque sauce, while I had enchiladas. Both were very good. Such a treat to have a very good Mexican-Southwestern restaurant in our midst Bravo to Bravos!

The best Mexican food I have had in Maine. Our food was great, our server was great, and the atmosphere is great. This is a wonderful addition to Hallowell.

Worth the wait!!! The only reason I can't give Bravo's a 5 star rating is because I had to wait an hour to get in the door! Nachos were out of this world and the steak blew my mind! Can't wait for their lunch menu! I think I found our new watering hole.

NOT WORTH THE WAIT- First it is very, very, very loud and if you do not mind waiting one hour for your food and twenty minutes for a glass of soda than this is the restaurant for you. The waitress brought water to the table but could not bring any soda to the people who did not want water, my soda came twenty minutes latter. I do not know if they need more cooks and more staff but this was a Thursday night not a weekend night. Its Mexican food and nothing to write home about so don't let me sway you about going there. I hat writing bad reviews but the truth is this is only worth one star at best.

Went there last night! Service was fantastic, food was awesome. They still have a limited menu because they are still in the middle of their soft opening I will be going back for sure!

The decor is nice and screened in deck over looking the river. We ordered appetizers, wings and naco's. Wings were cold and not very tasty. The nacho's had canned Jalapeno peppers on them.. and salsa was watery not very tasty.
