Compass Academy is a private, non-profit school for children in grades 1-12, and serves bright students with average to above average cognitive ability that struggle with learning and social skills differences. These include: speech and language disabilities, specific learning differences, ADD/ADHD, and/or high-functioning Autism Spectrum disorders such as Asperger’s and PDD-NOS. Compass Academy offers a unique educational environment and curriculum. Our small classes allow our education professionals to discover what motivates and sparks the interest of each student and to use this knowledge to develop and modify learning objectives on an ongoing basis. Students are taught to maximize their strengths and to employ strategies, tools, and processes that minimize their weaknesses. They develop a firm foundation in independent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
