- AntitrustMr. Andrew A. Lemmon is a New Orleans-born trial attorney with more than thirty-five years experience practicing law in Louisiana, Washington state, and many federal courts. He has worked in the field of environmental law, toxic and mass torts, business, succession, and complex litigation. He has also worked on multi-district, class actions, shareholder/securities cases and other litigation and legislative matters. Recently, he was chair of the discovery committee in the Taxotere pharma litigation and the successful prosecution and settlement of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust Litigation. He is a Partner with Milberg through its Louisiana office.
- Land Use and ZoningFor over ten years, Mr. Lemmon represented various local governments in connection with sales and use tax laws and legislation, specifically addressing the constitutional authority and statutory interpretations regarding the assessment and collection of those taxes. He also worked with local governments in connection with land use and zoning issues as they affect development and enforcement, whether in a legislative, administrative, or a litigation environment.
- Tax LawMr. Lemmon earned a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Environmental Law from the George Washington University National Law Center, a Juris Doctor from Loyola College of Law in New Orleans (Law Review), and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University. He is trained as a Domestic Mediator, which comes into good use in committee or multi-counsel cases. Mr. Lemmon worked as an intern for the United States Department of Justice in the Environmental Enforcement Section, represented the City of New Orleans in environmental and tax issues, and now represents the Louisiana Municipal Association in connection with emergency room upcharges to their self-funded workers’ compensation plan.
