Founded in 1952, Hodag Chemical was renamed as Lambent Technologies in 1998. It is a manufacturer of naturally-derived specialty chemicals and intermediates for a broad range of industrial, as well as consumer applications. The company specializes in surfactants, emulsifiers, performance additives and other organic specialties synthesized using esterification and alkoxylation chemistries. It also offers a wide range of oleochemical derivatives, specialty silicones, waxes and wax emulsions to serve customers in its key market areas. Lambent Technologies is affiliated with Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), American Oil Chemists' Society (AOCS), National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)s, etc. Lambent Technologies is a division of Petroferm Inc. that was aquired by H.I.G.
