Harrison Central High School, located in Gulfport, Miss., is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades 10 through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,600 students and has a staff of over 140 faculty members. It offers its students a modern learning environment with Internet access in all classrooms. Most of the classrooms have four computers for students to use during the school day. The students also have access to a fully automated library and media center. The school offers a variety of educational programs, such as after-school tutoring, enrichment courses and online curriculum. Additionally, the teachers use data warehousing resources developed by district personnel. The resources allow teachers to profile the past performance of students and meet the specific needs of individual students. The school is affiliated with the Harrison County School District.
