Cornerstone is the alcohol and drug abuse commission serving Greenwood, Edgefield, McCormick and Abbeville counties in the lower Piedmont region of South Carolina. Established in 1973, our mission is to reduce the negative health, social and economic consequences resulting from the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs. We provide prevention, intervention and treatment services for persons impacted by alcohol and drug use as well as problem gambling. Our programs include: Treatment and prevention programs Alcohol and drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP) - DUI program Another Way - The Matrix Model Employee assistance program DOT and SAP Merchant education Recovery support meetings The professional staff at Cornerstone includes credentialed prevention professionals, nationally certified addictions counselors, licensed social workers, licensed professional counselors and substance abuse professionals. Cornerstone is licensed by the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC).The agency has been nationally accredited by CARF - The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission since 1993.
