I was shocked by the negative experience I recently had at this place of business. I purchased a relatively expensive vacuum cleaner there about 15 years ago. I have had it repaired there a couple of times over the years, with good service. Recently, I had a need for another repair. When I took it to the store on a Tuesday at 4:30, an older gentleman was getting ready to lock up, although the sign said they closed at 5:00. He told me to come in, as he didn't like to leave customers standing in the parking lot. I took my vacuum in and told him what the problem was, and he said those kind of vacuums were a nightmare to work on. I asked him to call my husband with an estimate of how much the repair would cost before he actually fixed it. The following Monday, my husband call to inquire about the estimate, as we had not heard back from the man. The man said he had not looked at it. On Wednesday afternoon, I called to ask about the estimate, and he again said that he was swamped with work and had not looked at it. I politely told him that I wished he had told me from the beginning that it would take so long to get an estimate, because I didn't have another vacuum and I really needed it. I kindly asked if he could recommend another place for me to take it. He did not respond for at least a minute, and then he just hung up!! I was not far away when I called, so I drove there to get my vacuum. Again, it was about 4:40, but he was just turning off the "Open" sign and getting ready to close. I asked him why he hung up on me, as I was not the least but nasty or rude to him. He just said he didn't have anything to say. I told him that was no way to treat his customers, and I told him that I would just take my vacuum elsewhere for repair. He said he had no help and that he was overwhelmed with work. He also said that he was going to be out of town the rest of the week and would not be back until the following Monday. I am sorry to say that this place should close its doors unless someone else takes it over. The current situation is unacceptable. Customer's needs are not met AT ALL, and I have never witnessed or experienced such rudeness from a place of business. If I could give a zero rating, I certainly would.
