Friederike Wilday, the founder of Family Alliance Counseling Services, is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults. Friederike completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Liberty University in 1998. She went on to complete her Master's degree in Counseling at Webster University in 2002. She has worked intensively with at-risk families in a Community Mental Health setting, before transitioning to a Private Practice setting. Friederike views the process of counseling as a collaboration between therapist and client. When desired, she also welcomes the inclusion of one's spiritual faith in the counseling process. She employs various treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and EMDR. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be helpful with a wide range of challenges including Depression, and Anxiety. Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a pragmatic therapeutic approach that works to identify solutions based on individual strengths while building on past and present successes. EMDR is widely recognized to be an effective form of treatment for trauma.
