In the last 2 days a writer, Joseph Bates, held a book-signing at this Barnes and Noble. The writer has held signings in many different states, including Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and in many Barnes and Noble. At this particular signing the books had not arrived the night before the signing, when he got there the day of the signing there was NO advertisement nor had any advertising been done. No preparations had been made to let people know he would be in store signing books, No place was set up for him to sign, NO book display...nothing to advertise or to support him. This was the ONLY Barnes and Noble he has encountered the feeling and attitude that they did not seem interested in him being there. And...even more irritating - he came from Ohio and this was coming home for this book signing. What a sad state to be a bookstore and not support an up and coming writer from this local area. VERY disappointing indeed as a by-stander observing!

My husband and I went in looking for 3 books. The sales lady was very helpful. She walked us over to where we found the first book and then brought the other two books over to us. Shopping at Barnes and Noble was a very pleasant experience.
