General Info

Dr. Sharmin received an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates from Dhaka Medical College in Bangladesh with a Batchelor of Medicine and Surgery. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her fellowship was completed at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She was board certified in Internal Medicine, in 2011 and recertified in 2021, and in Geriatric Medicine, in 2013. Dr. Sharmin worked as a clinical associate professor of internal medicine at Brody School of Medicine prior to joining Physicians East.
