PORT Human Services is a private, nonprofit organization that provides substance abuse treatment and mental health services for the citizens of eastern North Carolina. Founded in 2003, the organization offers several outpatient services, including individual, group, family and cognitive behavioral therapies. It provides intensive outpatient programs. PORT Human Services also offers community support services. The organization s drug education school program is a prevention and intervention service that provides education to drug offenders. It serves residents throughout Rocky Mount, Ahoskie, New Bern and Wilson counties in North Carolina. The organization accepts private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and self payments. Its alcohol-related emergency service is comprised of trauma unit nurses who educate individuals to prevent alcohol-related accidents. PORT Human Services is located in Greenville, N.C.
