The Oakwood School independent, college preparatory day school that provides academic classes to more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade 12. It is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools. The Oakwood School has a staff of more than 35 teachers and over five assistant teachers. It offers various cocurricular activities that include information technology, sports education, art, chorus, strings ensemble, graphic arts, yearbook and journalism. The school s academic curriculum includes foreign languages, history, English, biology, chemistry, physics, health and wellness, studio art and American literature. The Oakwood School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is located in Greenville, N.C.
