Founded in 1970, City Arts offers a variety of round-year programs in dance, drama, music and visual arts. The facility conducts a range of pottery classes and cultural festivals. It also provides tap dance classes, art camps, orchestras and musical theater performances. The facility serves the people of various age groups. Additionally, it organizes story telling, face painting, and traditional arts and crafts making events. City Arts is a part of Parks and Recreation, which is one of the departments operated by the City of Greensboro in North Carolina, which also governs police, transportation, human relations, water resources, information technology and planning departments.
