About three years ago, we purchased an acid neutralizer from Carolina Water Conditioners. We already knew what we needed, but the salesman was quite pushy. When he thought he wouldn't get the sale on the spot, he offered two free refills of the "bedding" for the system. We broke down and bought the system. Then, we found out a few things: 1. Their competitor offered the same thing for $300 less, 2. They don't answer their phones very often, 3. When they do answer their phones, they won't honor the promise of free re-bedding made by their salesman, and 4. they gave some guy our phone number who called us up to offer "re-bedding," and when I told him it was supposed to be free, he told me off and said the salesman was a liar and that I couldn't get it for free (!!). This is a crazy company, I don't know how they've stayed in business for as long as they have. The only reason it isn't one star is because the product itself seems to work (as long as the bedding material is good).
