I have been using Darrell Cook at Stump Hollow to process my deer for years. They are always very accommodating and have a wide selection of custom meats that you can select from. I am a huge fan of the smoked link sausage and the meat sticks, but everything I have tried has been wonderful. They will also dress and skin your deer for you. I absolutely love Stump Hollow.One night I finally got my doe out of the woods at 7:30pm & I called Crimms Deer procesing in Centerville, AL. Crimms told me to skin the deer my self & bring it tomorrow because their skinner had already left. (Crimms is supposed to close at 8pm, NOT 7:30) We decided to call Stump Hollow, (which was about 45 mins away from us), & Stump Hollow told us that they normally closed at 8pm, but that they would stay open for us. We got to Stump Hollow around 8:30pm or so & Mr. Cook, (the owner) & his skinner were very friendly. Not mad at all that they were working late just for me & my doe.Stump Hollow also has a wide variety of ways you can get your deer processed: jerky, burger, bacon burger, bacon, summer sausage, cubed steak, jerkey sticks,... more ways than I can even remember.
