In 2001, the merger of United Co-op Inc. of Hampton, Farmers Cooperative Association of York and Farmers Co-op Business Association of Shelby, Neb. formed a new company, called United Farmers Cooperative (UFC). It is the fifth largest farm cooperative serving over 6,200 voting members and close to 5,000 non-voting members in 22 counties in Nebraska and Kansas. The company s team of more than 200 full-time employees serves clients in 32 locations. It has various divisions, including grain, agronomy, energy, seed and feed divisions that cater to specific needs of its clients. United Farmers Cooperative offers convenience credits, automated clearing house (ACH), easy choice credit plans and Wintershield budget heating plans.
