General Info
Crestview Animal Hospital was established in 1974 in Greenville, TN. Dr. Thorpe has been caring for pets for 30 years and Dr. Morrell for 20 years. Together they bring combined experience to diagnose and treat your pets to provide the best possible outcome. A staff of 12 well trained employees make it possible to offer a range of services including grooming and boarding as well as to assure you that your pet will receive the attention it deserves whether it is post-surgical care, suffering from an illness or just needs some extra petting. Our goal is to offer the best quality healthcare for your special pet and to offer it in a caring compassionate environment. We treat pets - dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, ferrets, and most other exotics. (Yes, snakes and reptiles too!) We believe that prevention is a key factor in making sure you have a happy, healthy pet. Our doctors and staff are here to answer any questions you may have about pet care and to provide you with educational materials so you can make informed decisions for your pet. Questions are welcomed and you will always be provided with copies of your blood results, the opportunity to view x-rays and to discuss treatment options. Our wellness and vaccination programs are designed to prevent disease and follow the guidelines of the AVMA. Disease prevention is always less costly than dealing with the treatment of a disease once your pet has developed it. An example would be the treatment of parvovirus. Parvovirus treatment can frequently cost $1,000 or more - the vaccine that is used to prevent parvovirus is between $12 and $14. More than one vaccination is necessary to provide immunity, but the cost is negligible. More importantly, vaccines save your beloved pets from painful and deadly diseases. Early diagnosis of a disease process can lead your pet to a longer healthier life. Kidney disease, if diagnosed early, will allow us to modify your dog or cat's diet and in some cases add supplements to their diet to potentially extend their lives. There are many other conditions in which an early diagnosis is advantageous. Our knowledgeable staff and our facilities allow us to deal with a variety of medical conditions your pet may experience. We hope we do not have to see you or your pet for an emergency but if we do, we are equipped to handle the situation. In some cases, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests. Our website describes the medical services we offer in more detail. We welcome patients and their "special people". Call us or come by - we hope you will like what you see and hear!
