David McMahon Bio: David McMahon, DO, believes that the relationship between the patient and the psychiatrist is central to developing the best treatment plan and achieving the best possible outcome for the patient. Because the human brain and the lives of patients are very complex, he recognizes that often medications alone are not enough to fully address a patient's needs, but when they are optimized, they can play a very powerful role in the overall treatment plan. He was drawn towards psychiatry because the discipline was always interesting and complex to him, but most of all, he enjoys interacting with psychiatric patients and found helping to improve their lives to be very rewarding.
