Bay Title & Abstract has been serving the title insurance needs of northeast Wisconsin since 1974. The company s title insurer researches every recorded document regarding current and prior ownership of the property being purchased or transferred to determine the current status of the title including search of all public and court records, property tax records, legal descriptions, liens and claims. Search done by the company covers documents as deeds, mortgages, wills, judgments, divorce decrees, liens and assessments relative to the property in question. It then follows the process of risk elimination to determine the insurable interest. Bay Title & Abstract s corporate office is in Green Bay, Wis. but it also has branch offices in Appleton, Brillion, Luxemburg, Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto, Oshkosh, Shawano, Sheboygan and Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Munising, Escanaba, Iron Mountain, Menominee and Manistique, Mich.
