The company also owns eight chicken prepared foods plants, two turkey processing plants, one turkey further processing plant, feed mills, hatcheries and grow-out facilities to supply these plants. The company currently processes more than 30 million birds per week for more than 6 billion pounds of poultry per year. The company exports commodity chicken and turkey products to more than 70 countries, including Japan, China, Russia and Kazakhstan. Pilgrim's Pride products are sold to retail and frozen food customers. The company's primary distribution is through retailers, foodservice distributors and restaurants throughout the United States and Puerto Rico and in the Northern and Central regions of Mexico. Headquartered in Pittsburg, Texas, Pilgrim's Pride is the second-largest chicken producer in the United States. It is the largest chicken company in Puerto Rico and the second-largest chicken company in Mexico.
