My husband, Lew, and I began leather work in a little shop in Loveland, Colorado back in 1974. Three pet goats in the shop yard, our dog, Duke, and cat, Gandolf, kept us company in those early years, while we learned leather repair, custom design, sewing and production skills, purchasing, sales, public relations. In the 80's and into the 90's Lew ' n' Me custom leather vests and handbags were sold throughout Colorado and the West. ( Colorado's own Singer - songwriter John Denver, wore a Lew ' n' Me vest. ) Over the years we have narrowed our focus and product lines, refining our techniques, while expanding our territory. Today, 30 years later, we are ( indisputably, undeniably ) proud of our handbags and backpacks. Functionality, design, and durability are trademarks of all Lew ' n' Me creations. We have always used only the finest, most supple, melt in your hand top grain cowhide. Our quality stitching, solid brass fittings and linings are chosen for withstanding years of use. Each bag is custom designed in our shop-- ( grown now, but still behind our home in Greeley ), cut and sewn, packaged by the two of us--the only employees, still, of Lew ' n' Me. We take pride in our line, our service, our customer satisfaction, the Lew ' n' Me reputation is built on these.
