The Transition Center has been in business since 1984. It is a full-service prerelease facility for male and female offenders. The center s facilities include an office, kitchen, dining, and conference and hobby rooms. The Transition Center s men s facility is spread over an area of more than 35,000 square feet. The center serves the needs of nearly 100 clients in different types of programs. Its men s facilities feature several storage areas and more than 30 rooms. The Transition Center s women s facility occupies an area of over 10,000 square feet and serves nearly 40 females. The center offers maintenance coordination and food services for individuals. It provides counseling services on matters related to mental health and marriage. In addition, the center offers the Boot Camp AfterCare Program.
