Hillcrest Educational Center specializes in the treatment of boys and girls with psychiatric, emotional and behavioral disorders. Located in Great Barrington, Mass., the center's therapeutic, medical, educational and residential programs are designed to teach living skills, and foster self-esteem and social competence of its students. It provides vocational programs, such as building maintenance, landscaping, greenhouse operations, sales and marketing, carpentry, computer skills, small engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Its programs are approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The center is spread over 14-acres of land, and includes athletic fields, swimming pools, gymnasium and go-kart tracks. The school organizes boys and girls scout troops, camping, biking, skiing and other outdoor activities round the year. Hillcrest Educational Center is a member of Association of Experiential Education.
