We at AJD take pride in responsible and efficient use of our only renewable resource, trees. We assure our customers of top quality lumber through quality control and high-tech equipment for precision lawn products. It starts with our three licensed staff foresters who procure private, state, and federal timber sales. Our own woods crews handle all harvesting procedures. All hardwoods are managed for sustainable yield.

I had heard that your company had relocated, until talking to brother. I loved the old short-wood operation that offered job satisfaction to workers. Of course, capitalism is the goal to provide ultimate profits with the command of competition that every corporation addresses. I always felt something special about AJD, I guess that can be seen in my efforts to provide pulp for 10 years as a cutter. It was more than profit, because I had never really made any money to speak of. It was the challenge I loved the most in my youth. Hired by subcontractors I found to be a horrible experience. It was obvious to me that fairness was never a priority. Ultimately, it was the little guy that had put tremendous effort into providing the raw material in very formidable conditions with spurious compensation. I truly hope this is recognized in future leadership as important. Everybody is important in an organization for success.
