Terrebonne Public Works Department, located in Houma, La., is one of the departments of the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. The department offers engineering services for all other departments and agencies. It supervises contract construction work and maintains parish government property. Terrebonne Public Works Department also performs mapping and surveying, and traffic engineering. The department is responsible for construction and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, bridges and drainage facilities. It operates a central facility for repair and maintenance of parish government vehicles and equipment. Terrebonne Public Works Department has several divisions, including engineering, capital improvements, drainage, roads and bridges, public transit, and fleet and building maintenance divisions.
