General Practitioners

• Primary Care
  Dr. Terry Slayman is the newest physician to join our practice, however, he has been practicing medicine for almost 25 years. He has been caring for patients in post-acute and long term care for his entire career. He founded his own primary care practice in 1992, and recently decided to focus on caring for geriatric patients and teaching the next generation of physicians. He sees patients in Worthington and Delaware.
• Family Practice
  Dr. Peter Hucek graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1989 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Akron City Hospital in 1992. As a board certified family physician he started in solo practice in Powell, Ohio. He continued to practice in Powell until 2017. Dr. Hucek is an Ohio native who resides in Delaware, Ohio where he and his wife raised their 3 daughters. He enjoys renovating his historic home in his spare time.
• Emergency Care
  Says Dr. Weigand “For most individuals, the normal path to testing is to go to an emergency room or a primary care physician which is then followed by a visit to a testing site. This is impractical for at-risk seniors and we wanted to provide a more direct route to testing for our residents in skilled nursing and assisted living communities.”

  Dr. Jaynine Vado was introduced to Central Ohio Geriatrics during her internal medicine residency and joined the practice in the summer of 2015 following the completion of her fellowship is Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She also serves as an Associate Medical Director for Hospice of Central Ohio in addition to comprehensive care at several of our facilities and locations
