I really want to like this place, unfortunately, I found several things wrong with it. The first time I went the food was descent and I was intrigued by the atmosphere with the little train chugging around the bar. However, the second time I started noticing some things, such as, the fish was dry and the rice seemed a bit old and flavorless. Not to mention the "green tea" tasted like it was made with dirty dish water... which it probably was. The third time I noticed that there was a thick dust covering on everything as if it hadn't been cleaned for ages, which wasn't really surprising because it seems as though the health inspector around here doesn't do a very good job and I've noticed that most the places around here are rather unsanitary. So, that finally sent me over the edge and I haven't been back since. Now I go to Hana Sushi in Ashland which is a 45 min drive... but at least it's clean.

I've been eating sushi for 38 years and I've had some of the best on both coasts. I've tried just about every place in the Rogue Valley.Musashi is the only place that I really trust to make delicious safe sushi the way it should be made. The fish is good and they don't make many of the mistakes that other places make. It is served at the right temperature and thickness and the ingredients are correct. The chefs are knowledgeable and some have been trained in Japan. The fish selection is good although not as good as you can get in New York or San Francisco.Musashi is the best in the Valley.

The freshest fish on the west coast. Relaxed atmosphere and great service.Kitchen food authentic Japanese. I go for my weekly sushi fix and see a lot of the same faces each visit.
