• Dental Examination
  Bleeding gums are most commonly a result of brushing too hard or the first stage of gum disease. When there is a lot of plaque below the gums, your body brings more blood to the area to fight the infection. If treated at this early stage, gum disease can be prevented. We can offer tips on proper brushing and flossing techniques, provide regular cleanings and exams and offer periodontal cleanings (deep cleaning below the gumline) to help you prevent gum disease.
• Oral Cancer Screening
  The best treatment is no treatment and when we are able to detect early signs of trouble, preventative measures are more likely to be successful. Along with a cleaning to remove plaque that may not be removed with brushing or flossing, we screen for gum disease, tooth decay and oral cancer at every exam. An oral cancer screening is the most important part of a regular check up. Dr. Tanner has detected oral cancer in two patients who have been treated successfully. Early detection results in the best outcomes for overall health and well-being.

  Dr. Tanner uses composite fillings to restore areas of your tooth affected by decay. They are an excellent alternative to silver amalgam fillings. If you wish, we are also able to provide silver amalgam removal and replacement with composite fillings.

  A place I consider my home away from home as it has exceptional staff which were all exemplary at customer service and the dental offerings are amazing or to say---oh la la! In fact, my dental work followed-up by on-staff massage therapist Tahnee with her magic fingers and neck massage was SO cozy and COMFORTABLE, it was hard at first for me to get out of the dental chair. I had a temporary crown made and it came loose, however Holly took care of it as soon as I could get back and I wish to thank her for her time, skill and friendly sincere patient care and it was on a day they are normally closed (Friday). Thus, Nathan Tanner Dentistry is worth every penny and the place to be no matter what age you are or your celebrity status...in fact don't get me wrong here-- you could stay here too, as it dosen't have to cost you an arm and a leg, as i utilized their dental care plan. Let me tell you, after my short stay at Nathan M. Tanner DMD, I will NEVER stay at those other so- called "cheap" dentist, as advertised in Grants Pass, ever again. On the down side, my dental room did not have a fireplace nor was there valet parking offered.
