General Info
AHMAD & RANA PEDIATRICS The Granite City office is located in the Bellemore Medical Building, at the intersection of Jill and Myrtle Avenues. The office has been open since the 1960?s. Dr. Ahmad has been in practice in Granite City since 1980, following Dr. Berman and Dr. Wilkins. Dr. Rana began working there in 1998. In 2002, the Maryville Office opened in the Maryville Professional Park on the corner of Rte. 159 and Rte. 162. Appointments Either the Granite City or Maryville office is open most Saturday mornings. You may call either office during the week to confirm the Saturday schedule. We make every effort to see sick patients the same day you call for an appointment. Please call ahead if you will be unable to keep your child?s appointment so that we may give that time slot to another patient. Families who miss multiple appointments without calling may be asked to find another physician. Emergency In case of Life-Threatening Emergency Call 911. In the event of an after-hours emergency, please call the exchange at (888) 386-2740. A nurse from St. Louis Children?s Hospital will be able to assist you. If needed, the nurse will contact one of the doctors who will call you as soon as possible. Please use the exchange for emergencies only. Payment Policy Co-pays (if applicable) are required at the time of check-in. Please bring your insurance card to every visit. This will ensure that we always have up-to-date billing information for you. The office accepts cash, check, and Visa/MasterCard/Discover credit cards for payment. Prenatal Visits Our doctors are available to meet with parents-to-be. We try to schedule these appointments at the end of the day, to allow time for any questions prospective parents have. There is no charge for these visits. Age Limits As much as we would like to see children until they grow up to adulthood and have children of their own, most insurances ask us to send patients to adult medicine doctors at 18 years of age. When that time comes, we will be glad to provide you with referrals of other physicians who can take care of your future medical needs. *For a variety of reasons, including respecting our patients with food allergies, PLEASE DO NOT BRING FOOD OR DRINKS INTO THE OFFICE.
