Horizon Elementary School, located in Granger, Ind., is part of Penn-Harris School Corporation. It enrolls more than 650 students in grades kindergarten through five. It prepares students through a flexible education system, which begins their development into well-rounded adults, and offers a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment. Students apply problem-solving strategies learned through written, oral and experiential applications in the classroom. The subjects cover various curricular areas, including English, mathematics, social science, science, health and physical education, music and art. Horizon Elementary School encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as its newspaper, band, student council and sports, such as basketball, volleyball and softball.
