Dr. Julie Burge is an avian veterinarian with over 25 years of experience. We are the Kansas City area's only all bird veterinary hospital, and we provide medical and surgical care for all species of birds. We offer boarding, grooming, and rescue and adoption services for pet birds, and emergency care is usually available after hours.

Dr. Julie Burge is an avian veterinarian with over 25 years of experience caring for parrots and other pet birds, including backyard birds like chickens, ducks, and pigeons. We offer all aspects of medical and surgical care, in addition to bird grooming, boarding, a variety of diets, toys, and supplies. Our nonprofit Burge Bird Rescue provides adoption services for pet birds. We help birds find new homes when their owners can't keep or don't want them any more. Adoption services are by appointment only.
