Built in 1966, Valleywood Middle School is located in Kentwood, Mich., and offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades six through eight. The school has an enrollment for more than 550 students and is governed by the Kentwood Public Schools. It offers a wide range of subjects, including English, language arts, social science, mathematics, science, and health and physical education. In addition, it offers music and fine arts, foreign language and computer technology. The school provides a variety of facilities that include music and art rooms, computer and technology laboratory, gymnasium, library and media center and a cafeteria. Its classrooms have computers with Internet access. Valleywood Middle School also offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, wrestling, swimming, cross country, and track and field.
