The market for traditional European groceries in Grand Rapids, Michigan was very scarce. Izabella, the owner, took this in her own hands and created what is now known widely by the local community for over a decade, Urartu International Foods. We like to think of Urartu as not just a specialty grocery store, more so a home away from home.
