- FireplacesThe facility includes over 400 vehicle spaces for inventory, 22 service bays, six express service lanes, two electric Subaru service lanes and other amenities. Inside features include a living greenery wall and a working fireplace.

- New ConstructionAs part of Western Michigan University’s plan to re-imagine its southern portion of campus, Arcadia Flats will be constructed on the former Elmwood Apartments site.
- DemolitionResponsible for overseeing the building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, demolition, and other items using different types of materials including wood, concrete, masonry and steel as well as managing the crews involved with the work. Being held accountable for safety, productivity and quality.
- ExcavationThis was a challenging project because portions of the building’s foundation rested on an old Grand River canal wall. To ensure longevity, the team stabilized the existing field stone canal walls and encased the original cast iron columns (installed in 1922). Additionally, during excavation the team implemented a dewatering system and displaced 575,000 gallons of impeding ground water.

- MasonryPreserving the building’s historical grandeur was a main priority for the team. We were able clean and repair the brick, limestone, and terracotta exterior masonry, as well as salvage the original plaster ceiling in the entrance.
