Southwest Community Campus offers education to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts and physical education. The school also provides English as a second language and Spanish as a second language programs. Southwest Community Campus is a part of Grand Rapids Public Schools, which provides educational services to more than 22,000 students. The district also offers various adult education courses that include General Educational Development and high school completion programs. Additionally, the district operates a school of construction, which provides training in career skills for entry-level employment in the construction trades industry.
