In our strength-based programs, women learn that recovery focuses on valuing and building the multiple capabilities, resiliencies, talents, coping abilities, and inherent worth of individuals. Their process of recovery moves them forward through interaction with others in supportive, trust based relationships. Through living and working together as a community of women at Sanford House, opportunities are created for change and women can develop skills for a better future, while restoring hope, meaning and purpose.

Women attending intensive outpatient services and outpatient services have spacious parking and access to a lovely historic Carriage House on site. Sanford House is conveniently located near downtown Grand Rapids, East Hills and Eastown communities, which are filled with an eclectic mix of specialty shops, galleries, coffee shops and restaurants with farm-to-table dining fare. We are located 11 miles from Gerald R. Ford International Airport and close to the downtown Amtrak station.
