North End Community Ministry is a shared ministry whose mission is to provide practical assistance to those in need on the Northeast side of Grand Rapids. North End Community Ministry has a vision for improving the quality of life for those we serve through providing 8 programs/services to our community neighbors in need. NECM was founded in 1971 with a primary focus of providing youth outreach programs. The shift from youth ministry to food related ministries at NECM came as a result of greater need and today, the Client Choice Food Pantry is one of NECMs largest services to the area it serves. Faithfully, staff and volunteers come to the ministry of NECM to facilitate ministry to our community and are part of the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to provide for those we serve. Staff and volunteers are utilized greatly and are the lifeblood of our organization. NECM depends so heavily upon them to provide for all our programs and services to those in need.
