In operation for more than 50 years, the Ute Water Conservancy District is responsible for providing drinking water. The district serves more than 80,000 residential and commercial customers. Its treatment plant conducts tests for over 80 substances. The Ute Water Conservancy District covers an area of nearly 200 miles. The district also produces a water quality report annually that provides information related to water treatment processes. It organizes a children s water festival yearly that offers education on several topics, such as conservation, protection, pollution control, provision and treatment. In addition, the district provides online payment options. The Ute Water Conservancy District uses approximately 1,400 miles of pipes.
