No tradition here. Just mixed in pieces of different forms of martial arts. The childs class was too confusing and not enough actual training. My son got a que or stripe after 30 minutes. I guess what Im saying is that there is no structure.

Thank you High Desert Martial Arts for giving us the opportunity to try your program! The 6 weeks program you offer was a great opportunity to see if my kids really wanted to do something like this without any pressure! Already I am seeing an improvement in their attitude! Thanks again for your flexibility!

This was the absolute worst place to send my child for karate. First off they somehow get into the schools and they give out this "2 week free" card which really doesn't occur. once you get there they make you sign a 6 month contract. I had to pay them to allow me to put it on hold for the summer. Then they have you pay $25 dollars to "try out" for a higher belt but it's not rigorous and basically if you show up with the money you get to upgrade. It's not real karate. If your kid is a preschooler it's OK but if they really want to learn the kata's it's so far from the real thing. Don't get sucked in.

High Desert Martial Arts has some of the best instructors that I have seen. It seems that they never quit learning. They are always getting ready for some sort of seminar that they are going to attend to help them become more effective instructors. The thing I like the most is that they are so knowledgeable in so many different martial arts that if one thing does not work for you they can always find something that will.
