Northwest High School is a college preparatory school serving students in grades nine through 12. The school, located in Grand Island, Neb., enrolls more than 650 students. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, language and fine arts, and foreign languages with a choice in German and Spanish. Additionally, it offers courses in journalism, agriculture, business, industrial technology, and family and consumer science. It also offers health, physical and special education. Northwest High School additionally offers academic consultation, School-to-Work and technical education programs. The high school also has a library that provides a large collection of curriculum books and access to the Internet. The school organizes extracurricular activities, such as band, vocal and instrumental music. Additionally, the high school provides various sports activities, including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball.
