Founded in 1874, Engleman Elementary School enrolls approximately 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in math, science, social studies, language arts and English. Its curriculum includes physical education, music and art. Engleman Elementary School employs an integration specialist, nurse, counselor, social worker, speech therapist, technology assistant and subject teachers. The school s parent-teacher organization supports several recreational activities and counseling sessions for parents, teachers and students. Its facilities include a computer lab, playground, cafeteria and classrooms. Engleman Elementary School s after-school programs include chess and Spanish clubs and spelling bee competitions. Located in Grand Island, Neb., the school is a part of Grand Island Public Schools.
