Walking in we were shocked to see a plexiglass divider up at the counter where we had to place our order, that should have been a clue to go elsewhere but they have a 5 star review average so we placed our order and waited for our food.
We requested 4 ribs with beans, and 1/2 lb burnt ends with Mac n cheese-
The ribs we got were only 3 bones and they were very dry so very disappointing, the burnt ends, which are usually burnt with plenty of juicy meat, not these - over half of my order was burnt beyond belief to the point I couldn’t chew them - again very disappointed. Needless to say we will never waste our money at this restaurant again!! They should check out David Alan Alan’s in Mukwonago to see how to do good to great BBQ.

Have gone to Atlas several times and have always received great service and delicious food.

Went in for dinner and was seated immediately. Ordered a sample platter with ribs, pulled chicken and pork -- we ordered the burnt ends -- and sides of coleslaw, cornbread, and mac n cheese.



Waitstaff and service was great. Food came quickly, and everything was fantastic. Ribs were smokey and tender, the pulled pork and chicken were by far the most moist I've ever had, excellent. And the burnt ends were unbelievable, and were served in a fantastic tangy sauce. Coleslaw and mac n cheese were good, but I was most impressed with the cornbread, which was fantastic, great texture, nice and moist, and perfect flavor. I've worked in the food service industry for more than 10 years, and it's very difficult to impress me, but I was genuinely impressed. It was abundantly clear that the food was fresh, from the same day, and the quality and value offered is exceptional.



The menu is good, setting and ambiance also very good-- quality and upscale, while casual. About halfway through the meal, the owner came by my table and said hello and asked how we were doing with out meal, and how our service had been. It was all exceptional, but I was most impressed by a restaurant owner who observed the dinning room, greeted customers, and observed the experience he was providing to the diners. This impressed me greatly because I think it's very rare in the industry, despite the importance and value in doing what he was doing.



It's clear that these are serious people, serious about providing a great experience and value, with a passion for BBQ and quality food production. There's little doubt in my mind that they'll find much success, especially considering the popular, but poor quality of other choices in the area. And the BBQ? I don't think there's a place providing food like this anywhere near it's area.
