Prairie View Elementary School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs for more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. It works for the development of reading, writing, language, social and computation skills. The school participates in the English as a New Language program, as well as imparts instruction in math, science, language arts and social studies. It maintains a media center and parent-teacher organization that conducts several book fairs, recreational events and field trips. Prairie View Elementary School also organizes basketball leagues and music and art competitions, as well as provides membership opportunities for a friendship club. It follows the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress (ISTEP) educational assessment guidelines set by the Indiana Department of Education. The school is a part of Goshen Community Schools, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
